Aflatoxins are metabolites of the mould fungi Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus. In foodstuffs Aflatoxin B1 is most common. Given the very high toxicity of the aflatoxins, especially B1, many countries have defined a maximum permitted level of mycotoxins, with levels from 0 to 50 ppb of Aflatoxin B1 depending on the test matrices.

TRANSIA PLATE Aflatoxin B1 is intended for the qualitative screening of aflatoxin B1 in food and feedstuffs.
