Art. No: MY0805
Units: 1 Format: Microplate TRANSIA PLATE Aflatoxin M1 Description:Aflatoxins can be produced by Aspergillus moulds which contaminate plants. Aflatoxin M1 is the hydroxylated metabolite of Aflatoxin B1, and can be found in milk and milk products. The Aflatoxin M1 is metabolized by enzymes in the cow's liver when the animal has ingested contaminated feed. Aflatoxin M1 is stable during milk processing, ripening and storage, and can be present in milk, powder milk, whey, curd, brine and produced cheeses. Aflatoxins may cause cancer in humans. In the EU, the limit for the presence of Aflatoxin M1 has been set at 0.050 ppb in milk and milk products, and 0.025 ppb in infant foods (2002/27/EC and 2004/683/EC). TRANSIA PLATE Aflatoxin M1 has been developed for the rapid and reliable quantification of Aflatoxoin M1 in samples of milk, milk powder and cheese. Features:
