1-2 Test®

The 1-2 Test for Salmonella is an antibody based assay for the detection of Salmonella in food and environmental samples.  The assay incorporates immunodiffusion technology to provide accurate and rapid results following a simple 1 or 2 step enrichment protocol.  If present, Salmonella move through the motility media as Salmonella-specific antibodies diffuse into the media from the opposite direction.  The antibodies bind to the target Salmonella antigen to form a visually apparent immunoband indicating a positive test result.  As an AOAC Official Method of Analysis, the 1-2 Test is one of the simplest rapid methods available for the detection of Salmonella.  

 

Assurance® EIA

Assurance EIA (Enzyme ImmunoAssay) incorporates proven antibody-antigen "sandwich" assay technology for the detection of food borne pathogens in both product and environmental samples. Highly specific antibodies coated to polystyrene microtiter plate wells capture and bind the target antigen, if present. A detection antibody linked to a conjugate enzyme is introduced to form an antibody/antigen/antibody sandwich. Finally, a substrate is added and converted by the conjugate enzyme to produce a color change indicating the presence of the target pathogen. The extensive AOAC validations and built-in positive and negative controls combine to provide users with the necessary confidence in the results. The efficient 96-well format and available automation make Assurance EIA an ideal solution for high volume testing. 

 

Assurance GDS®

Assurance GDS (Genetic Detection System) combines the latest advancements in molecular detection technology and food microbiology to provide faster results with the increased accuracy required to meet today’s food and environmental testing challenges. Assurance GDS utilizes multiple layers of specificity, including immunomagnetic separation (IMS), highly specific primers, and a patented probe system to ensure highly accurate results.

 

TRANSIA® PLATE

TRANSIA PLATE incorporates proven enzyme linked imunoassay “sandwich” technology for the detection of food borne pathogens in both product and environmental samples. Highly specific antibodies coated to polystyrene microtiter plate wells capture and bind the target antigen, if present. A detection antibody linked to a conjugate enzyme is introduced to form an antibody/antigen/antibody sandwich. Finally, a substrate is added and converted by the conjugate enzyme to produce a color change indicating the presence of the target analyte. The extensive AFNOR validations and built-in positive and negative controls combine to provide users with the necessary confidence in the results. The efficient 96-well format and available automation make TRANSIA Plate an ideal solution for high volume testing. 

 

VIP® Gold

VIP Gold (Visualimmuno Precipitate) is a lateral flow immunoassay for the detection of pathogens in food and environmental surfaces. Once added to the test device, samples are combined with gold-colloid particles coated with capture antibodies specific to the target antigen and drawn across a nitrocellulose membrane via capillary action. If the target antigen is present in the sample, it is captured and bound to the colored particles. The particles continue across the membrane encountering a test line containing antibodies specific to the target antigen followed by a control line containing antibodies specific to the capture antigen coated to the colored particles. If present, the target antigen and its associated particles will become bound to the test line antibodies to form a visually apparent line. The remaining particles will continue to the control line antibodies to form a visually apparent line verifying that the test device worked correctly. Each VIP Gold device is a self-contained test that requires only the addition of sample, making it an extremely simply and user-friendly method ideal for low to medium volume labs.

 

SimPlate®

SimPlate Binary Detection Technology™ combines proprietary media and a patented plating device to provide fast and accurate quantitative results for key groups of indicator organisms.  Defined substrates incorporated into the media are utilized to detect multiple enzyme and redox reactions associated with the target organisms resulting in chromogenic or fluorescent changes to the media, providing easy to read results.  Because SimPlate relies on these key reactions rather than the formation of a colony, results are available days faster than conventional culture methods.
